San Diego, CA
Since I was a teen, I've thought about living in San Diego. I'm not sure why since I had never visited, but I guess I liked the idea of the lifestyle. Sunshine, sand, surfing, beaches, palm trees....my own little paradise. My trip to San Diego was a part of my East Coast to West Coast excursion. I spent 4 days on Mission Beach in a beach house directly adjacent to the boardwalk. If you know anything about me, than you know that people watching is my all time favorite activity. The beach house was in the perfect location so I was pretty much in people watching heaven. While in San Diego, I did a bar crawl in the Gas-lamp District Downtown, checked out a free reggae concert on the bay, long boarded for the first time (I was pretty good if I might add), boogie boarded on the Pacific, road the big dipper wooden roller coaster, ran along the beach, and soaked up a lot of sunshine playing frisbee and volleyball.
UPDATE: During President's Day Weekend 2017, I was able to revisit San Diego for some additional sightseeing including Old Town, Downtown, and Coronado Island. The weather was truly amazing with a warm breeze and blue skies for the first day of the entire three days of being in California.
