Planning Studio II: Colorado HSR-Economic Development, Spring 2013
For this assignment, my studio group was asked to identify economic development related issues in regards to a future high speed rail corridor along Colorado's front range from Fort Collins to Pueblo as well as a route from Vail to Denver International Airport. In regards to economic development, we considered issues such as employment, density, vacant land, and benefits of high speed rail in existing systems. Our study was confined to the beltway around the Denver region, but we were asked to keep in mind that the full route would extend beyond.
