GIS I & II (BSU): Collection of GIS Maps, Fall 2010/Spring 2011
Below is a slideshow that contains a range of maps that I produced in my Intro to GIS and Advanced GIS classes. Geographic Information Systems is a great system that can help you really understand how a city is defined. I think the best feature of GIS is the ability to do a suitability analysis. This analysis is done by selecting specific criteria, overlaying the items, and in the end you are left with a map that shows only the locations that contain the selected values you chose. While I appreciate GIS as being a great and powerful tool, I personally don't enjoy working with it.
